Finn's Top Surgery

Hello! My name is Finn and I am a 20 year old trans person hoping to raise money for top surgery.

I’ve been medically transitioning through hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for over a year and am wanting to take the next step in my transition.

Unfortunately, the district health board in Wellington does not currently consider top surgery something that should be covered publicly, and my health insurance doesn’t cover it either. This is where this Givealittle comes in.

I have booked a consultation with a surgeon in Wellington for May and have been given a maximum total cost of approximately $19,300.00 to cover the surgical fee, hospital costs, and anaesthetic fees. The surgery will hopefully be in the latter part of this year.

I’ve got about ¼ of the funds saved up and realistically should have at least a third of my own money saved to put towards the surgery when it comes around.
