Waikanae, Wellington
Aidan and Lizzie tragically lost their family home to a fire in August.
Aidan was in Wellington when he received a phone call alarming him that his families home in the Kapiti Coast was on fire. He returned to discover that it had burnt to the ground.
Lizzie was away at the time with their two year old daughter and three month old son, receiving the call that they no longer had their home to come back to.
Lizzie and Aidan moved their beautiful family up the coast to bring them closer together as a family and experience a more rural way of life. Earlier this year they welcomed their second child and were adjusting to life as a family of four.
Their lives have changed overnight. Although they have insurance, they are now living with relatives after pouring their heart and soul into their new home and lifestyle over the past couple of years.
This beautiful family could do with all the love and support they can get. Any contribution would help their journey back to normality.

A message from Aidan and Lizzie 16 August 2022
Now we are over the initial shock of what has happened we want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for the kindness and support you have shown to Aidan, Piper, Flynn and myself over the past few weeks. We are so humbled by the generosity shown by so many friends, colleagues, family members and the wider community during this time.
We are doing well living with family and are going to set up a small base at the farm so we can continue to tend to the animals and make it an adventure until we can rebuild.
The kids are doing great and Piper may or may not think Christmas has come early with all the donated gifts we have received.
We are now focusing on the clean up and rebuild and looking forward to enjoying our life on the farm again very soon x
