This page is to support Lenard Tejada getting to the the first World Skate, Olympic Qualifiers.
New Zealand has an athlete in Lenard Tejada who will be competing in the first ever World Skate event of it's kind.
The event – held in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil – is a mandatory step of the Olympic qualification pathway for skateboarders competing in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Skateboarding is a fledgeling sport and Lenard's participation is fully-self funded. Like many New Zealand athletes, Lenard trains for his sport out of personal passion, over and above his full-time job. As fellow Kiwi's, let's get behind Lenard as he paves the way for other up-and-coming New Zealand skaters!
