We hope to use the funds to go towards Rose's testicular removal surgery, in order to get full bottom surgery later on.
Wellington
My name is Rose, I am a 20-year-old student studying Commercial Music at Massey University. I am also a male-to-female transgender, currently taking hormone replacement therapy in order to transition into a full woman. I have been taking spironolactone (testosterone blockers) since April 2017 and I've been on Progynova (Estrogen) for about 11 months now.
A hormone specialist has told me I can get a referral for testicular removal surgery (Orchiectomy) at the end of November this year due to being on the hormones for a year. The surgery is funded but the preparation assessment isn't and can add up to $1000+ depending on the complexities.
The point in getting Orchiectomy surgery is to decrease testosterone cells and increase the estrogen levels so when the full bottom surgery happens, the likeliness of producing testosterone is very low. I hope to collect around $1500 to make sure I am able to pay for the preparation assessment in case there are some complexities that could mean it'll cost more than expected.
The money will go towards paying for the preparation assessment.
