Garrus needs a new hip

Last year I went my friend, who volunteered for a dog rescue, to pick up two dogs from Tekuiti for the rescue. Little did I know that as soon as I saw this scrawny, mange covered bull dog x lab we would fall in love. As soon as he saw me he came straight over and sat for pats and didn't want to leave my side. I received a phone call and moved away from the group with this poor little dog desperately trying to follow me. As soon as I returned to the group his tail was going nuts and he returned to his place by my side. I knew he was mine, I already felt the attachment and the whole ride home I kept reaching back to check he was ok... (the two had never been in a car before and were quite sick). Once home we gave them both a bath and let them free on the section. They played for awhile but then this little bully cross came and sat with me, followed me everywhere and cuddled with me on the couch. I didn't want to let him go but I couldn't afford another dog. I cried that night knowing that I would never be able to have him.

Over the next few days I was struggling with the idea that this little boy would not be mine, the one he chose and was going through what I could sell to pay for his vacations and neutering required to adopt him. Then fortunately my best friend was there to help. I rang straight away to get him. I was chomping at the bit to go pick him up as soon as the adoption went through and rang his foster home. I drove 45 mins and practically run ran from my car to the door. When he came out he saw me and I've never seen a dogs tail move that fast he ran straight to me and jumped in the car.

We drove home I was the happiest I had been in years as I thought about everything this little dog and I could do and he sat on the passengers seat resting his head on my lap wanting to be touching me at all times. For a almost a year this has been our life. Garrus and I go everywhere (but work) together, he sleeps on my bed, follows me outside, sits resting his head on my shoulder or lap, waits by the door when he knows I usually finish work waiting to welcome me home.

Garrus is the most loyal, loving and funny dogs. He has helped me with my depression with his awesome cuddles and adorable face and his love.

A fee weeks ago he was xrayed because of a slight limp that he gets after a lot of exercise and we found that he has hip dysplasia. At one year old he has one of the worst cases of it that the vet has seen. I had a choice to make. Since then he has been given all the supplements under the sun to help him not be in pain but it's not enough. He needs surgery which I am trying to raise money for. Selling some old clothes and jewelry. Even trying to organize a bake sale. We need $3000 for both hips. Please if you can help every little bit helps. Give Garrus a chance at a full pain free life. Please Help me save my beautiful boy.
