My name is Florence Loader, i'm 24 and live in Amberley - North Canterbury.

A few weeks ago I received conformation that I will be representing New Zealand at the 2017 ITU Long Distance World Championships in Canada and also the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii.

My sister and I used to joke that "we're training for Kona" so to actually be going is somewhat surreal, but also an opportunity of a lifetime. I am dedicated to working harder than ever over the winter under the guidance of Gina Crawford so that I can do my absolute best at both events.

I am working hard to fundraise money through raffles and quiz nights, however for those just wanting to make a small donation this is the place to do it :)

Use of funds

The funds raised from this page will go toward the cost for both events, which unsurprisingly does not come cheap! Approx $10,000 is needed for registration costs, flights, accommodation and uniform. On top of this there are ongoing costs such as coaching, training gear, bike maintenance, pool memberships etc.
