Flooding event in Grey Lynn flooding that has now left my brother without a home.

Kia ora my names Davina Thompson I am the older sister of David Playle. Reason I have created this page is that the recent flooding in Auckland on Friday has left my brother and son who lives with him without a home, without anything but the clothes they had on.

My brother was able to save photos by placing in the attic but because of the speed of the flooding that went through Hakanoa Street in Grey Lynn they didn’t have time to save anything. All their contents was destroyed in the flood and they are now tempo staying in his friends house which is such a blessing however they have nothing as everything was destroyed. Unfortunately he does not have contents insurance and can not claim on everything he has lost.

Sadly my brother is at a crucial turning point in a sickness that I fear his capacity is every limited and I fear that he won’t have the capability to go home and rest during his healing.

I am setting this give a little page up to help my brother and my son who starts back at school, Western Springs College next week.
