We need your help...
It costs a lot of money to run a successful amateur Club – fees, uniforms, travel and administration costs. FLYERS TOUCH CLUB endeavours to keep team member fees to a minimum so that everyone has the opportunity to play. In the past the Club has been largely been funded by management, family and friends, but has now grown so big its not always possible to attend tournaments that we would like to take our members to.

Whakatane Touch Tournament – January 2016. Held every summer in Januray, 2016 is the year for FLYERS. Costs incurred will include tournament fees, transport, accommodation and meals for two possible three teams.
In 1999 a young Fijian man living in New Zealand Philly Toua was introduced to the game of Touch. He enjoyed playing the game so much that he and his family decided to form their own team. It was then that Flyers was born. Over the last 16 years, Philly, his family members and friends have supported Flyers including buying uniforms and paying fees. In 2012 I recognised the potential that Flyers has and came onboard as a volunteer to help Philly manage the Club. My background is in marketing and communications and social media plays a big part in how we communicate with our Club members and supporters. Flyers has gone from strength-to-strength in the last few years, currently with 9 teams playing at Cox's Bay winter tournament. We are privileged to have New Zealand and Auckland representatives playing for Flyers. Funding is always a struggle and we work hard to try and keep on top of expenses and to keep fees to a minimum for our players. It's my role, to find ways to support our Club financially and to give the best opportunities for our very talented Club members.
