Introducing Toulouse, she is 7 years old and having difficulty walking. Up till recently she has been a very active, adventurous cat always in charge of her domain. A week ago, she had been observed with weakness in her back legs and having trouble walking and standing to eat. She now needs specialist care so she can continue to have quality of life.

Toulouse is just of the many special needs cat that we have in our care. Reality is we can only continue to do so with the public's help.

This darling cuddle bundle arrived to us today after a week stay in hospital. He is all stitched up and under treatment for ringworm. He is the sweetest boy who adores cuddles and affection. He is going to be a real little time waster and I will enjoy all the cuddles. We have affectionately named him Huxley. ❤️💕❤️

    Graphic content may offend.

This wee 6 week old baby has sustained a terrible injury to its tummy, has ringworm and is very thin and unkept. He was left at the vets, who contacted me in the hope that I would take on the care and rehabilitation of this precious one. Of course I would.....so much pain and suffering for him already, it ends now. Please consider helping towards his care by donating dimes or dollars.....every bit helps. We thank you in advance......please make a difference.

  • Multiple surgeries and ever increasing costs

      9 April 2023

Well, it has been such a terrible start to the year with multiple surgeries....4 cats with urgent dental work, including multiple extractions, Annabelle one of our permanent dog resident needed urgent surgery to remove melanoma from her lips at a cost so far $12k and will need another $4k for the vaccination treatment. And sadly, Annabelle's brother Chewie another permanent resident will be going for surgery to remove a 10cm mass from this liver at an aprox cost of $10k. We have a wee girl, Violet, a cat not yet 3 years old in stage 1 kidney failure and multi cats with a viral/secondary infection, awaiting swab results to determine what we are dealing with. With the cost of everything rising, and ever-increasing vet bills, we desperately need your help. I have used all my savings, borrowed, begged and pleaded to gain funds to go forward but I am now at empty and need help. Please, if you could spare a gold coin, or the cost of a coffee I can assure you your donation will contribute to many associated costs of running the sanctuary, Whether its contributing to food, daily necessities, toys, medical expenses or general care…. your donation will be deeply appreciated.

With so many hungry mouths to feed, kitty litter to buy, vet visits, surgeries, medicine and so many other daily items.....it is getting harder and harder to financially function. Times are so tuff for everyone, and we get this, but the misery does not stop for these wee souls. Every day continues to produce more suffering animals and every day less money to provide them the care they need. Please help us to help them. Lots of love to all

  • So many animals need help

      27 August 2022
    Main image

So much money needed. We currently have three animals needing specialised operations, and we all know specialised comes with big dollars. Introducing three of our beautiful babies.

Lucky is our 6 month old kitten needing a life saving operation to remove a nasty polyp growing in his ear which has spread to his throat making breathing difficult. Without the operation Luckys breathing will only get more and more difficult to the point he will need oxygen assistance and then death. Therefore if he does not have his operation he would have to be euthanised to prevent suffering. I will do everything, everything to prevent his little life being snuffed out, as he has so much life to experience. He has a new family out there just waiting to meet him, cozy warm house to rule over, humans to lavish his love and commands on, twigs, bugs and toys waiting for him to play with. 💕

Bassett is a 1.5 year old girl who came to Folley Farm Animal Sanctuary when she was 8 months old. She was born on the streets and lived a rough life, but this lovely girl is now needing an expensive operation (est $7k) to fix both her back knee joints.

Most of the time in cats, though very rare and more likely seen in small dogs the patella luxates dislocates because the trochlear groove is too shallow, and the direction of luxation is towards the inside of the leg, which is called medial luxation. ... In some cases, patellar luxation may occur because of trauma to the bones or muscles of the hind leg. It is not known exactly what the cause is, it could simply be bad genes (simple bad luck) but we do know that when her knee pops it is extremely painful for her and she can’t walk with out experiencing severe pain so Bassett has to be fixed so she can live a long and happy life.

Lola is one of Folley Farms permanent residence. She is aprox 5 years old and has the same problem as Bassett with her hind leg knee joints. The operation could reach $10k but without it her legs will deteriorate and pain will become an issue.

So Folley Farm has a lot of money to raise to give these three beautiful souls a chance to live pain free, long happy lives. And most importantly find them their forever homes. 💕

Please consider donating to our animals, your money goes 💯% towards their care!

It’s not fair that so many animals suffer in our community at no fault of their own. It’s very sad when their suffering has become invisible to so many people or that they are not recognised by many as sentimental beings and are often ignored, driven past, dumped like garbage or subjected to unspeakable tortures.

We also know there are many caring, beautiful people out there that may not be able to take in an animal in need or have the facility, time or finances to care for these animals but you can still help by supporting your local rescues or Animal Sanctuary’s either by donating items , dollars, a day cleaning or socialising with the animals it all helps to keep the wheels turning, to keep these organisations operating as without them is a grime prospect for the animals.

  • Lucky’s surgery

      24 August 2022
    Main image

Sometimes these surgeries come up, polyps are rare but can be sorted to give cats a better quality of life, and a long happy life. This is what is all about providing care to the forgotten, neglected, unloved, often dumped or abandoned souls. These unfortunate souls affect our community but seem to be invisible to most and it’s only a handful of us that step up and try to make a difference. Please don’t be invisible, give so we can give back to the animals. Love to all 💕

  • Lucky needs an operation NOW

      22 August 2022
    Main image

Our dear little boy Lucky needs an operation to remove a polyp which has started growing in the middle ear cavity and with time will rupture the eardrum, and then continue to grow into the ear canal. Some inflammatory polyps will grow through the Eustachian tube (auditory tube) and appear as a mass in the back of the throat, which we suspect is what has happened in young Lucky’s case.

Please we need your help in raising money so we can get this little boy fixed up so he can be adopted and get his very own home and human to love.

  • Saint's Operation

      4 March 2022
    Main image

Our dear boy Saint came into our care with Feline Calicivirus (a nasty strain of cat flu) Feline calicivirus is a highly contagious virus that causes a mild to severe respiratory infection and oral disease in cats. (gingivitis). The ability of the virus to mutate likely explains why after 40 years of vaccinating against FCV, outbreaks still frequently occur. The virus spreads through direct contact with the saliva, nasal mucus, and eye discharge of infected cats and through aerosol droplets that spread when cats sneeze. Sadly wee Saint was unable to recover from gingivitis and it became so serve and painful the only option left, after exhausting all other avenues was to have his teeth extracted. So on 28/2/22, he had his operation and the vet removed all teeth but his front canines. He is now recovering and will be back up for adoption in a couple of months, once he has fully recovered.

Please donate towards Saints operation costs. It was a very expensive procedure and he had to have a couple of nights stay in hospital as he also developed a slight wheeze from the op, but is now home and doing great.
