Food at the Heart of Change

$255 of $250,000 goal
Given by 6 generous donors in around 6 months

To raise funds for a Commercial Kitchen, so that lives and neighbourhoods are transformed.

Bay of Plenty

Exciting things just keep happening with Good Neighbour with the green light given to develop a Commercial Kitchen on our premises. we could be underway this year as plans are approved and funding is raised. We want to reduce food waste even further. This can be done by using food from our food rescue collection that is unable to be given out, to create products for sale or on giving . Our goal is to build a strong volunteer team which will mentor and educate the community and teach charities how to prepare food for themselves. We now offer a catering service to provide a sustainable arm to the work Food rescue does and at the same time provide education, build self esteem and work with the community to break the cycle of poverty and waste. To walk alongside people to transform lives so that Neighbourhoods are transformed.

About us

Good Neighbour Trust is a unique charity in Tauranga, our mission is to provide practical opportunities for people to support one another so that lives and neighbourhoods are transformed.

Use of funds

The money will be spent on a commercial kitchen, and building adjustments so that we can repurpose our space to use rescued food saved from landfill. Our goal is to raise $250,000.00 any excess will be spent on equipment needed to complete the office space
