We provide free individual counselling to children across several Dunedin primary and intermediate schools. We provide the counselling on school grounds to make it accessible for families, and because it is a safe and familiar environment for the children.

be heard! is a charity designed to offer free one-to-one counselling and small group wellbeing programmes at selected primary and intermediate schools across Dunedin.

Free counselling and group programmes for children 16 October 2025
As well as the free individual counselling sessions Be Heard provides, we have also launched two new programmes. "Brave Minds" is a group programme designed to help children with resilience skills and our leavers programme is for year 6 children to help them with any anxiety they might have about changing schools.
