  • A little update to the donors

    With Auckland city encountering just under 50% of its annual rainfall over summer it has been incredibly difficult to get a suitable date to do many barbecues.

    I am pleased to say that the barbecue is being deployed today for use tomorrow and has already got plans for Anzac Days dawn parade. After that the barbecue itself will be used as a charitable loan for various community projects as there is great benefit in not only providing a free barbecue to the public but also linking in to other initiatives to help support them.

    Thank you all very much for your support with us it is going to make a big difference within the community is an Auckland and is going to be a nice little cherry on the top for a lot of Planned community events. Keep an eye out on the Instagram page for any events and if you’re in the neighbourhood come and get a banger.

  • BBQ may have to be in the New Year but fingers crossed.

    Have not provided an update for a short while. We were planning on having our first sausage sizzle pre Xmas however this may need to be postponed until the new year. We want to allow as many people as possible to enjoy this sausage sizzle and the current weather is posing a problem. We want to be located in a busy high traffic location on a great day so I am starting to reach out to local businesses to determine a suitable location from your suggestions.

    Will keep you updated.

  • Bbq is sorted! Now for the sausages!

    We have enough for the bbq so now all we need is the remainder to find the sausages sauce and bread and then we are all set to deploy!

  • Currently working through the food management plan with local council

    There is a bit more to this than just turning up and cooking a bbq so I am working through the in’s and outs with Waikato and Auckland council currently to make sure that we meet our obligations and face no barriers.
