FreeStyle Libre Sensor Patch

$640 of $3,200 goal
Given by 15 generous donors in one year

Convenient - A small sensor automatically measures and continuously stores glucose readings day and night

Waikato

Alexander is 16 years old now he was diagnosed when he was 8 years old with Type 1 diabetes. We have been a long journey 8 years of testing himself. This is a journey Alex will need to have for the rest of his life.

They have a sensor patch that can go on his arm and test. - this option means we can monitor all day and night and get better readings for better insulin or sugar. We want to just get a year worth of sensors to keep his levels in range.

Why prick when you can scan?

The days of routine glucose testing with lancets, test strips, and blood are over. Welcome to flash glucose monitoring! The FreeStyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System is a glucose monitoring system indicated for detecting trends and tracking patterns in persons aged 4 and older with insulin- dependent diabetes mellitus, without the use of lancets.

When you live with Diabetes and you can just scan instead of prick your finger why not, but NZ doesn't fund it.
