A New Dawn for Our Whānau and Community

We’ve received a blessing in the form of good news: our engineers have confirmed that parts of our cherished building remain structurally sound and can be saved. This has lit a spark of hope in all of us.

After heartfelt kōrero among our Committee, whānau, and friends, we’ve made the decision to rebuild—not just for today, but for tomorrow. We’re designing a space that will stand tall for generations to come. A place where The Marist Whānau can gather, grow, and thrive. A place that welcomes all park users, embracing the wider community with open arms.

This journey won’t be easy, and it won’t be cheap. But we believe in the power of togetherness. We continue to fundraise with determination and aroha, knowing that every dollar, every act of support, brings us closer to a dream built not just of bricks and timber—but of love, legacy, and unity.

This is more than a building. It’s a taonga. A gift we’re creating for those who come after us.

On Saturday 27th July, tragedy struck our community.

A devastating fire ripped through our Bell Block Marist Rugby League & Sports Club, leaving very little in its pathway.

Every donation big or small brings us one step closer to re-establishing our home base 💛
