Update March
29 March 2026I wanted to give everyone an update on Carolin’s journey with chemo. It’s been an incredibly tough road lately. After her second round, her hair began to fall out, so we made the brave move to shave it.
The last few weeks have been especially hard. A cold caught from the kids unfortunately turned into pneumonia, leading to a hospital stay and IV antibiotics. To make matters worse, she suffered a scary allergic reaction during her last chemo session.
Between the illness and the chemo, Carolin is struggling with severe anemia, which has made it exhausting just to keep up with the kids. Next week, she heads to Dunedin for a chemo trial and has a scan the following week. We are all holding onto the hope that the treatment so far has stopped the cancer in its tracks
