We are clinicians driving climate action to build a low-emissions, resilient health system for Aotearoa’s patients and communities.
Wellington
As clinicians, we see firsthand how dependent our health system is on fossil fuels — and how vulnerable that makes patient care.
We also see the growing health impacts of climate change: disrupted services, strained infrastructure, and communities under pressure. Yet the systems we work in remain highly polluting and too slow to adapt.
ESHCA (Environmentally Sustainable Healthcare Aotearoa) was formed by healthcare workers who believe we have a responsibility and opportunity to change this.
We are a not-for-profit trust, powered largely by volunteer time, focused on practical, clinician-led action to reduce emissions and strengthen system resilience.
We are launching this Givealittle campaign to support the essential work behind that action:
• Maintaining and developing our website and platforms
• Covering core administrative costs
• Delivering a national forum this November to connect clinicians and drive solutions
No funds go to us personally — every dollar supports the work.
If you believe healthcare must be part of the climate solution, we ask for your support.
Money raised will be spent on maintaining and developing our website and platforms, covering core administrative costs, and delivering a digital forum in November to connect clinicians and drive solutions.
