Lukas is a New Zealander, a former infantryman, and a volunteer with the International Legionnaires of Ukraine, driven by unwavering courage to defend the freedom of those in need. Across two harrowing tours, he risked everything to stand against Russia’s invasion. On his most recent tour, Lukas sustained severe injuries that nearly claimed his life.
Now home, Lukas faces a battle of a different kind. His wounds—both visible and invisible—have left him unable to work, and he has yet to receive the psychological care he desperately needs. Transitioning to a new life is a monumental challenge, and Lukas needs urgent support.

Use of funds
The funds will be used to support Lukas' psychological recovery, provide therapies for his physical injuries, and ensure he has the resources needed to adjust to his new way of life.
