From the Battlefield to Recovery: Help Lukas Rebuild

$444 donated
Given by 6 generous donors in 4 weeks

Help Lukas, a brave New Zealander and war hero, rebuild his life by funding crucial physical and psychological therapies.

Auckland

Lukas is a New Zealander, a former infantryman, and a volunteer with the International Legionnaires of Ukraine, driven by unwavering courage to defend the freedom of those in need. Across two harrowing tours, he risked everything to stand against Russia’s invasion. On his most recent tour, Lukas sustained severe injuries that nearly claimed his life.

Now home, Lukas faces a battle of a different kind. His wounds—both visible and invisible—have left him unable to work, and he has yet to receive the psychological care he desperately needs. Transitioning to a new life is a monumental challenge, and Lukas needs urgent support.

Your donation will make a profound difference by funding therapies for his physical and psychological healing, and helping Lukas rebuild his life with the support he needs. Together, we can honor his sacrifices and show him he’s not alone. Every contribution counts—let’s help Lukas heal.

Fundraiser Update: A Heartfelt Thank You  4 June 2025

As our fundraising journey for Lukas comes to an end, we want to take a moment to acknowledge the generosity and kindness of everyone who contributed. Your support has been truly inspiring, and thanks to your donations, Lukas' family will serve as custodians of the funds, ensuring he receives the occupational and physiotherapy care he needs for his recovery.

In times of hardship, humanity shines brightest. Seeing people rally together to uplift someone in need is a testament to the enduring strength of compassion and solidarity. Your generosity has not only provided tangible support but has also reaffirmed that hope still exists - that even in the darkest moments, kindness and unity can light the way.

On behalf of Lukas, his loved ones, and us at Tango Kilo Mike, thank you for being a part of this journey. Your support has made a difference, and for that, we are endlessly grateful.
