Funding and awareness for Anna’s alopecia

Hi every one just a quick update! I’m honestly In shock with the amount of money I have been able to raise! Each one of you have helped make this process possible for me and I will be forever grateful. A huge thank you to everyone that has donated and the anonymous people too. I’ve been in contact with freedom wigs up in Auckland and I have booked a consult at the start of next week to start the process. So basically they take a 3d scan of my head to made a perfect fitting suction cap, unfortunately for this I will have to shave my head completely, but I knew this would have to happen. They then collect the donated hair to match the hair type that I am wanting and send out a sample of the hair type to me to make sure happy with it. The downfall is that it takes them roughly 3 months to make the wig. The owner of this place also has alopecia and is baled herself, she has been wearing these wigs for 13 years! I’m so relieved to have found a place that can actually educate me on wigs and make me feel so happy and comfortable with the process. I will keep you all updated but for now I’m just so grateful for everyone and the donations to make this possible! Shaving my head will probably be the hardest thing I’ll ever do and Being bald for 3 months will be just as hard but it will be so worth it for the end result!
