After some help to pay what should be a government funded double mastectomy

Waikato

Hi, we are having to fund my partners double mastectomy due to her having several cysts in her breasts which have become painful due to there size and the fact they get drained and grow back bigger. The hospital had said the best thing to do was remove the breasts to save any further issues, they cant help for what seems the reason is they cant garantee it's a hereditary problem of breast cancer in the family (as she is adopted and doesn't no any real family) and it's not already cancer, we went ahead with the surgery as it was what was needed and have already paid first part of bill, $23500, but there is about the same amount to go and we were hoping there would be a few people out there that could possibly help us out, we are running out of things we can loan on to finance the rest of the upcoming costs. If you aren't riddled with the big C nz waits till you are before they are willing to operate, I always thought prevention was better than cure???
