Hi all. Apologies for the lack of updates but things have been very busy in the background with much happening. As you will see from the attached pictures the donations from all of you kind and generous people have been put to good use. A patient monitoring system (with accessories) has been purchased for use in the High Dependency Unit (HDU) in Rarotonga. The monitor is the same as an existing monitor in their operating theatre and one of the components is a transport monitor that can be used in a medivac back to NZ.

Bruce and Levi were in Rarotonga during the recent school holidays and were able to see the monitor (hence the pictures) and talk to the staff and management who were very happy and appreciative of the new addition.

In addition another health supplier had seen the articles in the newspapers and online and also donated a number of smaller machines (Optiflow) for use in the hospital at absolutely no cost. Both the supplier who supplied the patient monitor and the other NZ healthcare company have been very generous. They either donated goods for free or provided big discounts and free shipping to Rarotonga so the raised funds could do maximum good. It is great that some big NZ companies show they have a heart and come forward when there is a need.

This doesn't fill the hole Michelle's passing has left in a lot of our lives but it does help to know that, with the help of a lot of generous and caring people, there is a lasting legacy through which other people will undoubtedly benefit. Thank you to all who donated and to all those who spread the word. It is much appreciated♥️

Hi everyone and thanks so much for your generosity in helping us procure equipment for the hospital in Rarotonga. It's so incredibly humbling to know that so many people have donated to this cause.

Whilst both Levi and myself miss Shell so much and know that the hurt we feel will be here for a very long time, it does help ever so slightly, knowing that we may be able to help so other families don't go through what we've had to go through.

We should be getting prices for the equipment back next week, so we'll know exactly where we are and where we need to be.

Once again, I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart and I know my wife would be so proud of what we've achieved so far.

Please keep sharing and telling as many people as possible, the more we can do, the better off the Cook Island people and visitors to this paradise will be.

Thanks everyone for the support so far. It is overwhelming to see the donations coming in and to be in a position to help others by buying much needed equipment for the Rarotongan Hospital.

As per the latest article in the NZ Herald, Bruce and Levi have just returned from Rarotonga where they visited the hospital to see what equipment would be of most use. Given the original aim of getting a dialysis machine is not possible, the hospital have given Bruce a list of the equipment they have wanted but have not been able to get due to funding limitations.

Any money raised will go towards getting as much of this equipment as possible

Bruce and the family are extremely grateful to all of those who have donated thus far and who will donate in the future. Grief is still ongoing but it does help to know that some good can come from Michelle's passing,
