    Less than three weeks to go and the majority of the training effort is behind me. Completed my last major long run (33km) last weekend without too much trouble - although it was a very windy Wellington day! Starting to ease up on the training now with the aim of building up the energy reserves for the big one.

    Ten weeks to go to the NY marathon and training seems to be going to plan.? I had completed the Wellington marathon on 24 June in a time of 3:38:03 so I have a good base fitness.? My training is currently aimed at increasing strength and stamina whilst slowly increasing mileage.? Intending to run the Pelorus half marathon (Petone) on 16 Sept - should be a good test of progress.? Happy running.
