Fundraising for a scholarship and humanitarian work

I have recently accepted a two-year MA scholarship (Crises Management) and job opportunity working with NGOs in Kathmandu, Nepal beginning next month.

It is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work in the humanitarian/development sector and begin my career. However I am extremely unprepared, have no savings (due to limited time) and there is no support offered as they are already providing a subsidized degree. If I sell everything I have of value than I will be able to afford the necessities involved for the trip. However I will not be financially secure, have bond for a room, a laptop or medical insurance.

I am determined to seize this opportunity and will go regardless. However at this point every dollar counts and will be the difference between genuinely struggling or being secure.
