Fundraising for Jody's Bariatric Surgery

Hi everyone,

My sister Jody was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes at the of 17 and is now 42. Her battle with this disease and the symptoms of that make daily living very difficult. She has also been diagnosed with Severe end Stage 5 Chronic Kidney Disease where both kidneys are failing and is at a function of 12% and unfortunately cannot be reversed.

Eventually, Jody will have to go on dialysis and after dialysis will be put on the list for a Kidney Transplant. She cannot have her Kidney Transplant until she has reached 93.5kgs. So in order of trying to keep her health in check, she has been exercising daily and keeping to a healthier diet, so she reaches her goal weight for Bariatric Surgery. Jody has been on the waiting list for almost three years, but the wait list is extremely long and her body is drastically declining. Sadly, last year Jody simply wasn't able to perform her job duties as a CMHT Support Worker any longer due to falls, bruises and the extreme pain throughout her body.

Jody is someone that would never ask, so I am posting this request on her behalf to see if anyone would be able and willing to give a helping hand and lets give her some more time with her kids and Moko's.
