Fundraising for Monica Makau's dad medical treatment currently in ICU, Kenya

I am reaching out to ask for your help. My dad has been battling severe health issues. He suffered spine TB in 2021, complications from Covid-19 and later Ischemic stroke in Aug 2023. My dad, a retired pharmacist dedicated over 50 years of his life caring for patients in our little village in Machakos and Kangundo districts, Kenya.

As a family, we are doing everything to provide good care and we're pulling together our financial resources to continue providing the care my dad needs. I have been silent in this journey, its not been easy to ask for help.

On the 12 Nov, dad was admitted back to hospital ICU, with kidney issue and active TB. I'm grateful my sister a nurse in the USA has been by his side, my mum and my younger siblings, who've put their lives on hold to fully care for our dad. Unfortunately, we've exhausted insurance and emergency funds and the current outstanding bill from last week is crossing over KES 1M (equivalent NZD 13,000).

I am turning to friends and family to give us a little financial boost over this period. Thank you for your contributions, kindness and generosity.
