Raising funds to help my mum access life-saving CAR T-cell therapy overseas after her third relapse of large B-cell lymphoma.
Auckland
My mum has been diagnosed with large B-cell lymphoma for the third time, and this time it has affected her brain. After just eight months in remission, this news has been an enormous shock to our family.
For 30 years, Mum dedicated her life to caring for premature and critically ill babies as a neonatal intensive care nurse. She has always been the person who puts everyone else first, offering care, kindness and support to those around her. As a mother, she has always been there for us, and it is heartbreaking to see someone who has spent her life looking after others now facing this fight herself.
CAR T-cell therapy is her only treatment option, but she needs to access it overseas, at an enormous cost. With time being precious, we are doing everything we can to give Mum this chance.
Funds raised will go towards the extreme costs of her treatment and the expenses involved in getting her overseas. Any support, no matter how small, would mean so much to our family as we navigate this incredibly difficult time.
We are hoping to give Mum the opportunity to keep fighting and to have more time with the people who love her. Thank you to everyone who can help us give her this chance, whether through a donation or by sharing her story.

The funds will go towards the significant cost of my mum’s CAR T-cell therapy overseas, including treatment-related expenses, travel, accommodation and any additional costs involved in getting her the treatment she urgently needs x
