Funeral Fund - redirected to support for frontline bilingual workers @ Christchurch Resettlement Services
Funeral fund - redirected to support for front line bilingual workers.
CanterburyYesterday the PM stated funeral funds will be provided. In light of this information I have spoken to the Manager at Christchurch Resettlement Services who informed me that their bilingual workers are some of the greatest affected personally and professionally by this tragedy.
The bilingual workers from the Service have been tirelessly working on the front line interpreting for victims families (some of which are their own), hospital staff and the media. The workers at the Service will require long term ongoing counseling and support.
The current funds and any ongoing donations will be redirected to this cause
Your support no matter how big or small would be greatly appreciated.
