Hi, I'm Odin. I'm 4 and have a rare form of muscular dystrophy called Ullrich's. It affects my collagen 6 production. Recently, we lost our family dog (pictured). He was my best friend, and I loved him so much. I'm looking to own a companion dog so I can be more independent, as I can't walk and I'm wheelchair-bound. My new best friend will be able to open doors, pick things up, keep me safe when I'm out and about, as well as cheer me up when I'm feeling a bit blue, and probably a lot more than I'm aware of now.
I'm very outgoing, funny, and determined. I don't let my condition inhibit me from doing the things I want or dream of doing. Just sometimes, I need a little help from my friends/dog. I had major surgery a year ago and will have to go again sometime next year. I loved having a furry friend to help me recover.
Please help me reach my goal. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated.

Animals Like Us 13 July 2024
We were gifted dog food from "Animals Like Us and Adam Mossman," and Freya loves it. Every day, we've learned that Freya is becoming very protective of Odin. She follows him whenever he moves on the couch or when it's time for dinner. She follows and guards Odin when he is in the toilet, and she alerts him and us when it's time for bedtime. She sleeps with Odin at the edge of the bed and wakes Odin up at 6 a.m. and tells him it's time to get up. In these few weeks that she's been with us, she has helped a lot, including helping our routine to be consistent with our chores.
