Gabby's Starlit HOPE was created by Angel Gabby Devine, 13 years old. We continue on this legacy in remembrance of our very special girl who wanted to put a smile on the faces on cancer kids in hospital in NZ and also her local New Plymouth Children's Ward.
Gabby's RAK are many and include activity bags to keep the boredom bugs away, boredom boxes full of presents, special RAKs on holidays and fathers day and mothers day, special RAKs for New Plymouth families with a child fighting cancer, assistance with RAKs and support for palliative cancer children, boredom boxes for every child undergoing radiation at Auckland Hospital.
Please follow our facebook page and keep updated on all the RAKs we do.
Starlit HOPE was created by 13 year old Gabby Devine. Gabby was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma (Bone Cancer) in February 2013 sadly Gabby gained her angel wings on the 15th May 2015. Her treatment included chemo, radiation and surgery to remove four ribs and a quarter of her lung.
During her long hours in hospital she realised how boring it was so she created a charity called Starlit HOPE. Starlit HOPE mission is to do random acts of kindness to the children, parents and staff at the oncology wards throughout NZ and especialily at Starship Hospital and New Plymouth.
Since Starlit Hope's beginning in April 2014 Gabby has done over 1500 acts of kindness including many presents drop offs, boredom boxes and morning tea for staff and parents.
