Kylie asks

Hi, my name is Kylie and I am so sorry to hear about Geneva's diagnosis.

I work for a charity called TimeOut. We connect generous holiday homeowners all around the country who are willing to donate a stay to a person diagnosed with an incurable illness so that they can spend time together and make special memories with family & friends.

If you think she might be interested in applying or just want to find out more, we would love to help. She can apply online at www.timeoutnz.org or email info@timeoutnz.org with any questions.

Take care, Kylie

Hi Geneva. I too have breast cancer and have endured 20 rounds of chemotherapy in the hopes of more time. I am now also stage 4 and have had lung surgery three times! They said I would be lucky to have 12 months given the spread and I have had 36 months and still counting. The best part about cancer is seeing humanity at its finest. I wanted to reach out to you even though we live an ocean apart because we share an experience few know. On days I feel lost I take comfort from another cancer survivor, Nightbirde who sings this beautiful song called It's Okay. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZJvBfoHDk0 It makes me realise I am not alone. Take care you brave warrior and sister. xx

Hi. This isn't a question but my name is Shianne and a year ago I was also given a year to live. Tried chemo- it didn't work, I had growth in my tumor also. I've been on a treatment called avastin (I assume this is what they've suggested for you) and it's amazing! It's given me so much extra time and I feel great! I even joke that maybe the drs had it wrong 😅 so all I'm saying is don't lose hope, if I can do it so can you! Goodluck and I hope your wedding is all you dreamed of ❤

Hi Emily, I'm living with stage 4 breast cancer with extensive spread to my bones on my torso and some liver Tumours. I am on chemotherapy at the moment and I do lots of alternative treatments. There is so much more you can do to help your body fight cancer. If you are interested my email is carolynjr71@gmail.com, I would love to share what I have learnt. Or you can look up Jane McClelland, How to Starve Cancer and Joe Tippens. Both had stage 4 and now recovered. Sending lots of love and healing.
