Geordie's Top Surgery Fundraiser 🏳️‍⚧️

Kia ora, I'm Geordie ☺️

I'm a 25 year old non-binary person from Pōneke travelling to Portugal in July for top surgery. I'm a big fan of the outdoors, especially sea swimming, and I'm so so excited to be able to feel completely comfortable at the beach and in Aotearoa's beautiful native bush 🌿

I am leaving the country for top surgery because of the huge barriers to gender affirming care in Aotearoa. It is nearly impossible to get publicly funded top surgery here, and going private would cost upwards of $23,000.

Unfortunately, getting this surgery and covering the associated travel costs will drain all of my savings completely. I'm asking for help to cover some or all of the surgery cost 💚

Portugal is the much more affordable and accessible choice, despite it requiring me to travel halfway around the world.

This is a really important life saving procedure for me, and I'm so grateful to be able to access it.
