Fundraiser to help get Hannah to the ISA World Longboard Championships in El Salvador
Gisborne
Hi, I'm Hannah Kohn, a surfer from Aotearoa/New Zealand. I am raising funds to help get to the ISA World Longboarding Championships in El Salvador, where I will represent my country on the world stage.
I grew up at Wainui in Gisborne, with a love for the ocean from day one. I started my surfing journey as a kid, strictly riding a shortboard until I discovered a love for longboarding in my 20s. As a teenager, I had a dream to represent my country on the world stage.
I've been competing in local and national longboarding events for the past few years, surfing alongside some of the best longboarders in the world. These competitions include Makorori First Light, the West End Wiggle, the Single Fin Mingle, and most recently the NZ Festival of Longbaording. I have been involved in the local Gisborne Boardriders Club from a young age and I have been organising and running a longstanding local competition here in Gisborne.
Thanks to the encouragement from my community, family and friends I have an opportunity to fulfil my teenage dream of representing New Zealand on the world stage.
However, to make that dream a reality, I need your help. I need to cover the costs of travel, accommodation and registration to compete in El Salvador and that's why I am seeking your support.
By donating, you are not only helping me to achieve my dream but you are helping to raise the profile of Aotearoa, promoting the sport, the culture, and the environment that we love.
Thank you for your generosity.
