kiaora whanau, friends, supporters and those yet to met this young man. This message is to humbly inform you that Jarred Thompson is now resting in the Pakira Marae, on the outskirts of Waitahanui, Taupo.
A service is being held at 10am here at the Pakira marae, on Saturday the 24th of November for those wishing to attended.
We also welcome those wishing to spend time with Jarred, to hear and share stories, to attend the poroporoaki on Friday evening after a prayer service and dinner. I respectfully ask that we gather at 4pm to be welcomed onto the marae, and again at 7pm.
🙏
To friends, friends of friends, family, supporters and those who have yet been touched by this young mans life.
Our brother, father, son, cousin, relative and dearly loved friend Jarred Cole Thompson made his transition from this life, into the next in the early hours of Wednesday morning the 21st of November 2018.
Jarred was in the comfort of his family home in Taupo since Saturday, surrounded by his loving family and dearest friends till the end.
I would like to take this moment to thank each and everyone of you who was touched by not only this man's life, but touched by his story. We came together in unity to give a little and achieved something beautiful. Because of your love, we got Jarred home and from the core of my heart, thank you. Thank you for the gift of time that you have given to Jarred and his family and friends. 🙏 bless you all.
I would like to use this page to update everyone who has been following our story and yet to hear it. For now, I have extended the give a little pages closing date in lieu of this news, as we have established a good network for communication, and for anyone who wishes to continue to be a source of ongoing support for jarreds family in this time. Specifically to Jarreds Mother and Daughter.
Gods blessings upon you all and I will end another update with jarreds final arrangements.
🙏

Thank God and thank YOU! Everyone who helped to make this a reality, ever so quickly, you have gone above and beyond. Thank you!

It's so good to see all of your updates, Thomas! Thank you so much.
I thank God for the miraculous way in which He has provided for you and Jarred, for the medical staff both here and in Fiji, for the incredible amount of funds that have been raised through the efforts of this organization, Stuff, Hawkes Bay Today and the generous donations of your and Jarred's many friends and relatives (and their friends and relatives!) AND the many who donated that did not even know you and Jarred, but were touched by Jarred's story.
I also thank God for Milika and her family...for providing you with such amazing support including a place to stay, meals and transportation to and from the hospital, airport and their "connections" with the medical staff at the Lautoka Hospital. You and Jarred are truly blessed.
I have thought of many Scriptures throughout this ordeal, but trust this one will be an encouragement to you as you venture home tomorrow:
Final Exhortations
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phil: 4:4-7
I am on my knees and can't wait to hear that you are all safely home.
Godspeed.
Can you please pass a message onto jarry for me and let him know that his old friend hannah from westshore is thinking of him and sending love his way and hopes he gets home safe and when hes better id love to catchup with him. *im zoes big sis*

Hello supports, donors, friends and family. New Zealand Air Ambulance Service has arrived! Just one more night here in Lautoka Hospital and were homeward bound. Our Intensive Care Nurse has has just been updated by the staff caring for Jarred here in Fiji, her team are in coordination mode and have put the best plan of attack together with the lowest risk. I will update tomorrow as plans do change. New Zealand High Commission here in Fiji are helping to organize the discharge process so that we do not meet any delay tomorrow in transporting Jarred from the hospital to the Airport. Jarred himself is doing his best. He is one tough dude! The strongest I've ever met. More updates to come but for now I want to thank you all for your ongoing support. it means the world to us over here in Fiji to know we have such a strong support group in Humanity. Thank you all. Bless you all. Keep the prayers coming if it is Gods will we will all be back home in Aotearoa tomorrow evening. 🙏
its Monday morning. Jarred slept really well last night. infact he was snoring away. it was such a beautiful sound. hes clean and dry and is puffing away on a number in his own little realm. such a blessing to have nurse Amini stay by his side again, all night and tend to his needs. one more sleep to go! 🙏
today when I updated jarred on what his friends and family have been doing, and what we were able to achieve, he was over joyed. he squeezed my hand real tight and gave me a rock on sign. bless you jarred. hang in there.
I would like to give a very special thanks to the Marshall family here in lautoka/vuda, who have been the worlds best blessing. they have given shelter in their home for rest, they have transported me back and forth daily, fed me and prepared nutrionaly dense liquid food for jarred to sustain him. supported our brother and comforted him for many many hours a day, organized for support to stay with jarred throughout the night so we could rest knowing jarred had comfort and company. and now they have taken jarreds mother in also. they go above and beyond. we are so blessed. thank you Marshall's. God bless you🙏
Amen. God bless the Marshall family...such a blessing!
Amen. God bless the Marshall family...such a blessing!
Thank you to all who have helped to make what sounded impossible, possible. I will update once things are confirmed confirmed, but heres jarreds reaction when I told him exactly what's been going on and that we'd raised enough to get him home. he squeezed my hand and pulled a rock on sign. Amen!!
Jarred has been able to speak breifly today. some things are appropriate responses or requests, and other times it's completely random. hes a real trooper!! keep spreading the word team. lets get him home quick! 🙏💖
