Help Keeley Bray represent NZ at Shakespeare’s Globe in London with the 2027 SGCNZ Young Shakespeare Company!
Geraldine, Canterbury
Kia ora! My name is Keeley Bray, and I’m a Year 12 student at Geraldine High School. I’ve been given the opportunity of a lifetime: being selected as one of just 24 student actors from across New Zealand for the 2027 SGCNZ Young Shakespeare Company (YSC)!
Next July, we’ll travel to London for an intensive three-week study tour, culminating in a live performance on the iconic stage at Shakespeare’s Globe.
**My Journey**
After performing at the Aoraki Regional Shakespeare Festival, I was selected for the National Shakespeare Festival, followed by the high-level National Shakespeare Schools Production (NSSP). Being chosen as one of the final 24 actors to represent New Zealand internationally is a dream come true!
**Why I Need Your Help**
The tour is entirely self-funded, costing approximately $14,000. This covers flights, accommodation, meals, insurance, tuition, masterclasses, and workshops with world-class theatre professionals.
**Giving Back**
This opportunity is about more than my own growth. Through a community payback scheme, I’ll share what I learn by running workshops for local school students and youth theatre groups in Aoraki when I return in late 2027.
Whether you can donate $5 or help fund a major expense, every contribution makes a difference. If you can’t donate, sharing this page with friends, family, and workmates is just as valuable!
Thank you for helping me take Geraldine and Aoraki to the world stage!
We are Keeley’s proud parents, supporting her as she pursues this incredible opportunity to represent New Zealand on the international stage through her passion for Shakespeare and the performing arts.
Every cent raised will go towards my 2027 SGCNZ Young Shakespeare Company trip to London, helping cover flights, accommodation, meals, insurance, and theatre training. All funds will support this trip, even if the target isn't reached.
