I have recently been selected to represent New Zealand in Women's Foil at the Senior Commonwealth Fencing Championships in London, 2022.

Kia Ora! My name is Nicole Martin and I have been a competitive fencer in Wellington since 2009. I have been training hard over the last couple of years despite the COVID disruptions to make selection for Commonwealth Champs this year. I was ranked #2 in the country for Women's Foil at the time of selection and look forward to competing on the international stage. As a smaller amateur sports league in New Zealand, these opportunities to fence overseas are self funded by those attending. The Commonwealth Fencing Championships is an important international tournament, held separately to the Commonwealth Games but in the same country around the same time.

Use of funds

All money raised will go towards the costs involved with attending this tournament in London; coach and manager levy, FIE license to compete overseas, accommodation at the venue, travel expenses.
