The PowerZone van has been stolen, please help us get a new one!

Christchurch, Canterbury

Our van has been stolen!

The PowerZone 12 seater van was stolen in April. This van was our most valuable asset that allowed us to transport our children to and from school. We have hired a rental van for a couple of months since the van was stolen, waiting patiently for an affordable replacement to pop up for sale.

Unfortunately, affordable replacement seem to be too elusive, and the rental van is costing close to $5000 a month, eating away very quickly at our insurance payout. In order to keep our doors open and providing a vital service for our community, we need to come up with more funds to help us replace our beloved van.

So far we have been overwhelmed with the response from our community. So many generous people have reached out and requested a give a little page to make it easy to donate to our cause.

So here it is!

We wouldn't ask, if we had any other options. Please help get us on the road again.

We wholeheartedly thank each and every one of you for your help!

We did it! Our new van is on the way  19 June 2023

We want to say a huge Thank you! to everyone who contributed towards our new van. We could not have done it without your support.

We managed to find a great 12 seater Nissan Caravan being sold by another not for profit organisation, it has been such a huge blessing finding this van.

It is on it's way down to us from Auckland right now.

Everyone at PowerZone has been absolutely overwhelmed by the support and kindness we have experienced over the past few weeks. Your support made it easier to get through this tough time.

So Thank you!

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
