'Scouts' Hip Hop Dance Crew to represent NZ at World Championship

This fundraiser will help our team of girls aged 11-13 get to the USA to represent New Zealand at the World Hip Hop Dance Championship.

Our junior Hip Hop crew 'Scouts' recently qualified to represent New Zealand in the Hip Hop International (HHI) World Hip Hop dance championship in Phoenix, Arizona in July. This is a big deal - it is the biggest Hip Hop competition in the world with thousands of dancers from 50+ countries competing (only a few dancers are selected to represent Aotearoa).

Scouts have a very strong team of girls aged 11-13, with an amazing choreographer (Shenal August), and they have every chance of getting through to the finals. Obviously, this is a massive financial commitment for parents, and we have some dancers in Scouts who cannot afford dance lessons - let alone flights to Arizona and accommodation.

All donations, large and small, will help our dancers.

Use of funds

Funds raised will go towards the cost of flights, accommodation, uniforms, living expenses, entry fees, van rental, and other miscellaneous expenses. The funds will be distributed evenly among the dancers and trainers.
