Ryan is under going serious and risky spinal surgery. His father and brother may not be able to make it. Help him have his family with him.
Auckland
Ryan is a fun loving cheap, a skilled musician and an enthusiastic gamer. He also happens to have muscular dystrophy. This is a serious progressive genetic disorder, that gradually weakens muscles and contracts joints. Last year we were advised that he would need spinal realignment surgery, to correct a scoliosis that was affecting his breathing. We thought that it was due to occur in April this year. We informed his father in the UK, who came over, as it's quite serious. However, it didn't happen then and is due to happen on 25/09/18. Due to the delay, his breathing is worse and the surgery is nomore more serious and risky. We feel that having his whole family around him would help him cope. His father's employer is having financial trouble and he and Ryan's older brother, who works for the same company, may not be able to make it here. We are not in a position to help. We would appreciate any donations towards helping them come over so that a brave young man can have the support of his family when he goes through a very difficult and risky procedure.
I am Ryan's stepfather and I feel that having his full family present would help him to get through very difficult time.
Any money donated Will go towards flight tickets for Ryan's father and brother. If exceeded money will go to muscular dystrophy association for research and also to help with Ryan's quality of life.
