Get Ukranian Refugees to safety

I am writing to all of you today, because I suppose you have been feeling as devastated as I have been watching the news coming out of the Ukraine. Sitting at the other end of the world I feel so sorry for the many civilians having to leave their land, angry with Putin and helpless not to be able to do anything.

If you have been feeling the same, then I was wondering if you would like to support the project of my awesome older brother Ulrich in Germany?

Totally off the cuff he decided 3 weeks ago to try and pick up some Ukrainian refugees from the Polish border and bring them to his small hometown in the Black Forest to safety.

He has worked tirelessly and made hundreds of phone calls to raise funds and to organise everything to make this happen from organising the transport to sourcing lodgings, bedding, food, clothes, etc..

On 29th March he started his private convoy with 18 volunteer drivers and travelled over 2800kms. He returned with 87 refugees. 48 refugees found accommodation in the old primary school which was made available by the local council. The other refugees found private lodgings in the town or close by villages. More than Euro 27000 got donated in 10 days (and yes: Euro3000 of these came from NZ!). More donations and offers for accommodation will be needed!
