Getting Anna to Paris for the UN Climate Change Negotiations!

In December 2015, the UNFCCC Conference of Parties (COP) 21 will be held in Paris. I am asking for any support you are able to give to get me there, as a member of the New Zealand Youth Delegation (NZYD).

Alongside seven other young New Zealanders, I will be travelling to the COP to campaign for a fair, ambitious deal that New Zealand can be proud of - I will be following the negotiations as they unfold and relaying the intricacies back to the rest of the team, so that they can in turn relay them back to New Zealand and around the world.

The negotiations represent the chance to commit the world (and importantly, New Zealand) to a new direction; a carbon-zero future. New Zealand has a role to play, as we always have, in leading from the front and being proud to do so.

Any amount that you are able to spare will be gratefully received - even small change will help me campaign for large change (see what I did there?!).

The funds raised through this page will be going towards flights to and from Paris (approx $3000 - $3500 NZD); accommodation at a hostel while at the COP (somewhere between $1000 and $1500 NZD), and enough croissants (read: sustenance) to see me through. Obviously, the real expense will be the pastry. In all seriousness, the city will be flooded with people who will be there for the COP, and all the prices are higher than usual as a consequence. Supply, demand, etc.
