Kayla's team performing at the Twisted Boom competition in July 2014. The girls took out first place!
It's been a tiring few months with hours of hard work to get the team ready for their first competition ""Twisted Boom"" at the beginning of the month. I'm happy to say that the team took out 1st place. Kayla had just learned a new tumble pass a couple of days before comp which she managed to pull off beautifully on the day. I'm so proud :) Here's a video of their performance... check Kayla out at 1:35 with her new trick. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9C29YmnJ9OM Go Kayla!
Hi guys, Thanks so much for your support to help get Kayla to her cheer comps. She is progressing so well at her training. With the school team on top of her club team she is getting a lot of coaching and is starting to master lots of new skills. Yesterday Kayla was the first in her team to get her front hand spring on the mat. She rang the bell and her team mates all clapped and cheered and her friend Danika came running over to give her a hug. I love the environment at CEA, they are all so encouraging and are really like a family. Recently Kayla's club performed at the opening for Relay for life opening in Mairangi Bay. She was so happy that she got to fly with the older girls. Here's a link to the performance https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YN4RFwABM0. The following day a few of the girls also went up to Stanmore day to participate in the soapbox derby parade. it was a lovely day that finished with some stunting by the beach and resulted in some great photos which I will post soon. Anyway, just thought I should let you know how we're getting on. The deposit for Kayla's Australia flights has now been paid. IT'S ALL ON! Thanks again for your support. Please share Kayla's page if know of anyone that might like to lend us a hand. Love Rae and Kayla xox
