Nikki was involved in a serious accident In Rarotonga which has left herself needing urgent medical treatment in New Zealand.
Wellington
Update: Nikki has been airlifted back to New Zealand after a Family Friend was able to loan the money to get Nikki Home. The funds which are raised are now to repay them the total amount back.
Nikki is doing incredibly well and has had a few Skin Grafts and is on the road to recovery.
What happened:
Nikki was involved in an incident which has left her with burns to the upmost part of her upper body and hands. Her injuries meant she was required to be Airlifted back to New Zealand for the urgent care she deserved.
Nikki was put into an induced comma because of her injuries and was on life support. Nikki was airlifted to Middlemoore Hospital in Auckland so treatment by surgeons could begin asap.
I'm involved because Nikki is my older sister and she needs to be transferred to New Zealand so she can gain the treatment needed so she can survive and recover from this horrific accident!!
Nikki has dedicated a lot of her life working with disabled children at Kimi Ora School which is school for the disabled in Wellington before heading over to the Cook Islands where she continued working with disabled children.
Nikki deserves proper treatment so she can make a full recovery so she can continue sharing all her knowledge and helping our next generation of children grow and shine past their challenges they need to over come. This will be the same for Nikki - she will have to overcome a lot to come back from this injury but with all of our family and her friends we will see Nikki overcome this!
