Fundraising page to get Sarah to the PLIDA conference in Phoenix Arizona September 2016

Wellington

My name is Sarah Field, in August 2013 my Daughter Lilly was stillborn at 20 weeks gestation.

I entered a whole new world, one I wish I didn't have to know about.

I was fortunate enough to have amazing support from my local Sands group in creating memories with Lilly, memories to last me a lifetime.

When your child dies, your time available to make memories are very limited.

I had 56 hours.

I became involved with Sands at a deeper level 12 months after Lilly passed away.

I am loving being able to help others who enter the world of baby loss as well as others who have been there longer than myself.

Helping others create memories, providing new ways for people honour and remember their children and to spread awareness are my passions.

One of my memory making for other bereaved parents was a montage from the Wave of Light. Please go and view it on YouTube. I will share a link to it.

I have also stepped up to be a part of the Sands NZ board, helping our organisation become better for all who are involved.

My current role with the Board is Social Media Moderator.

I keep our social media pages up to date and keep an eye on the postings within all our support pages.

I have been offered the chance to travel to Phoenix Arizona to attend the PLIDA conference to learn more about what other countries do to support bereaved parents and to create memories with them.

I love getting new ideas that I can share with others to help them in their grief process

PLIDA stands for Pregnancy Loss and Infant Death Alliance.

Flights Are Booked!  4 March 2016

Hi everyone!

Just thought I would do an update!

Firstly, thank you so much for supporting me and my fundraising adventure!

We have now booked our flights! This means we really are going!

To say I am excited is an understatement!

I cant wait to see what the other side of the world looks like and get together with some amazing people to learn more about this taboo subject so I can help others create memories to last a lifetime.

My next goal is the conference registration costs, these are just shy of $1000 (NZ)

Look forward to updating you when I have that paid for!

Warm hugs

Sarah
