Get James to the Beach again!

Our family is raising funds for a Hippocampe all terrain wheelchair for our 10 year old son, James who has cerebral palsy and is unable to walk.

James is a bright little boy who absolutely loves being involved in outdoor adventures with family and friends. Especially where there is water! Unfortunately the time has come where James has grown so much and our old baby mountain buggy is now absolutely straining with James well over the weight capacity. Accessing wheelchair friendly beaches is near impossible. When James does get to the beach, he always wants to be near or in the water and now unfortunately he has become too heavy to support.

The Hippocampe wheelchair is an all terrain, rust free wheelchair. It comes with a set of attachable balloon beach wheels to allow easier access over sand. It is designed to go over not only sand, but pebbles, hiking trails, snow and it floats in water!! It is going to open up so many more opportunities for James to experience typical outdoor life activities that we all enjoy. It will also last him a long time, with room to grow. It easily folds up and can be transported everywhere with James. The opportunity to purchase this wheelchair will allow James, as he grows older and heavier, the ability to access and experience things that all mobile children receive without even thinking about.

James is the most social little boy around and adores getting out and about in the community chit chatting to anyone and everyone. Most of all he loves going on adventures with our family and his younger sisters and he hates missing out, which is why now we need your help to be able to continue creating some pretty special outdoor memories with him!
