Just days ago, Cody’s life changed in an instant when he became critically ill with Meningitis B. What began as every parent’s worst nightmare has become a journey requiring incredible courage, faith, and the support of an entire community.

After time on a ventilator in intensive care, today marks another significant milestone as doctors once again try to remove his breathing tube. Every step forward is worth celebrating, but Cody still has a long road ahead.

The infection has left him with a small brain haemorrhage, which doctors are hopeful will heal. He is also facing a long rehabilitation journey, with his right hand currently not functioning and his right leg affected. The months ahead will involve therapy, specialist appointments, travel, rehabilitation, and many unexpected expenses as he works towards regaining his independence.

While Cody’s parents continue to work, their focus is on being by his side and supporting his recovery. This fundraiser has been created to help ease some of the practical pressures that come with a long recovery, allowing the family to focus on what matters most—helping Cody heal.
