Diagnosed with life threatening invasive Strep A and toxic shock from medical negligence

  • Two more surgeries to go!

I finally have my hysterectomy scheduled for the 22nd of July. I’m not going to lie—I’m feeling a bit nervous and uncertain about it all, but also relieved that it’s finally happening. It’s a major surgery, and I’m looking forward to having it behind me—done and dusted.

A week later, I have a gastroscopy booked to remove the Ovesco clip in my stomach—or what’s left of it, since it’s been partially cut. Hopefully, that part goes smoothly too.

I’ll keep you all posted on how things go. Thank you all so much for your kindness, love, and support—it truly means so much to me. 💕✨

    Update:

I recently had another operation to remove a clip in my stomach that was originally placed to stop a GI bleed. Unfortunately, the clip has caused three new ulcers, and the surgery was only partially successful—they were only able to cut one half of it. I’m currently waiting to hear what the next steps are to fully remove it.

Once this is resolved, I have a haematology appointment in July to review my blood clot situation. After that, they’ll assess whether I’m ready to proceed with my hysterectomy.

Thank you all so much for your kind messages, love, and support—it truly means the world and lifts my spirits more than you know. 💛

The healing process is going well—slowly but surely. I had another surgery today to monitor my stomach ulcer. The blood clots are gradually clearing; there are still some in my lungs, but hopefully they’ll resolve soon.

I have one more surgery ahead—a hysterectomy—once everything else is more stable, likely in a month or two. At this stage, I don’t expect to return to work until January 2026, as my hand and foot are still not fully functional.

Thank you again to everyone who has reached out and stood by me. Your support has been truly invaluable and deeply appreciated.

    Update from Me 💛

    Hello,

I just wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of you who has supported me — whether through donations, kind words, or simply keeping me in your thoughts.

The past while has been incredibly challenging and there were days that felt impossibly heavy. I’m truly grateful to say I’m getting stronger with each passing day. Recovery isn't always a straight path, but I’m walking it with hope in my heart — and that’s largely because of the support I’ve felt from the community far and wide.

Your generosity has helped lift some of the weight off my shoulders, allowing me to focus on healing. It means more than I can fully express.

Thank you for being part of my journey. I'm holding on to gratitude, and I’m so hopeful for what’s ahead.

    With love and thanks,

    Jacqui xxx
