Off-setting your presence with the gift of nature
Wanaka, Otago
Magic Land Festival - Giving Back to the Land.
Thanks to the generosity of Alphaburn Station, Patch Landscape NZ, The Buttermere Bash and heaps of local legends, we're striving to leave these beautiful grounds better than we found them, that's why we've bought together this restoration initiative.
500 native species were planted in March 2025, with another $538 raised to support the next round of restoration, earmarked to go ahead March 2026. Our goal is to plant 3000 natives, in installments of 500, every year until the project is done. Each installment costs over $2500. With the first costing more like $5000 as we needed define, fence and rabbit proof the entire location.
This festival continues to be not just about air, but also about earth - about giving back as much as we take.
