Funds raising to meet essential living expense for Christchurch mosque shooting victim
Canterbury
Hi my name is Rehana Parween, I’m the loving wife of Shamim Siddiqui who was unfortunately a victim in the Christchurch Mosque Shootings. My husband was shot in the arm during the Al Noor Attack but he thankfully survived. He has received two surgeries and will be receiving another one in the coming month. He is the most kind and caring father and husband to me and our children, he is a great friend and man who did not deserve this.
Due to the intense damage caused from the bullets to his left arm it has left him unable to work for at least six months. As the sole bread winner in my family he supports our two children and myself. This has put us in financial hardship so that is why I’ve created this page to help raise money for my family to cover our living expenses, things needed for my husbands recovery and to help us through this horrible situation. I want my husband to fully recover without the extra stress of financial hardship or stress.
My husband is a self employed taxi driver so the income received from ACC weekly, although we greatly appreciate it, barely covers our rent. Every little bit whether it’s $1-$10 will go along way and spent towards essential things. It will be greatly appreciated. We really appreciate all the support and love from the community and wider New Zealand. Thank you so much everyone.
I am Victim's wife and appealing for financial support to meet day to day living costs for my family to support my husband and my two kids
