Give a little for Te Karaka Village to get relief after the cyclone.
Te Karaka, Gisborne
As we all know, cyclone Gabrielle left her mark on the country and there was wide spread devastation.
A small town west of Gisborne felt the impact the worst. With poverty already present for some prior to the cyclone, this village is left with a lot less now. Families have lost their homes and all their belongings. Some have to rebuild their lives, their homes and some may not have the financial ability to do this.
We are working with the families who were effected by the cyclone in the Te Karaka Area in conjunction with the Community Civil Defense team & community support leaders/crew.
As a tight knit community, we are in contact with all of our community effected by the cyclone.
Please help us to help this village of 500+ to rebuild and hopefully ease some of the financial pressure they are still to face.
Donations are going directly to a trusted group in the township.
Any amounts are greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Hine.
The funds will be released Joleen Perry who will pass them on to members of the community.
Joleen is helping co-ordinate the clean up and recovery with the civil defence volunteers and the community.
The money donated will go towards the families and people in Te Karaka, to support rebuilding the community. Distribution of funds will be based on the needs assessments which we have already completed for each whanau.
Thank you so very much for your kind donation, our community really appreciates it
