Giving the gift of time - Cuddle cot

My name is Megan, I'm a 27 year old mother of 4. I live in little old lower hutt, wellington. November 2015 I, with the help of you guys (New Zealand) managed to raise enough funds to purchase a cuddle cot to donate to hutt hospital maternity ward , with that we also donated two moses baskets to go with it one for full term babies anand one for preemies. We also had enough to purchase 3 baby capsules to donate to wellington neonatal unit which were to be used by families who need to travel to starship for their babies treatments.

I'm setting up a new page now as we are wanting to raise for another cuddle cot. If you are unfamiliar with what this is, it is a cooling system which is used when a baby is stillborn/born too early or dies at a very young age. It replaces the standard method of laying the baby on bags of ice. Its main benefit is that is gives families more time (extra days) with their baby before they say good bye forever. This device is non invasive and is placed into the bassinet under the baby. It basically preserves the baby for a wee bit (days) longer than if it wasnt being used.

This can also be used to help babies who are alive but suffering from a brain injury/damage. It is non funded hence my fundraising efforts to get another one in.

These are bought direct from the manufacturer in the UK. Its nzd price is around $3850 including bank fees but that is subject to change depending on exchange rate at the time of purchase.

As we would like to add the family gifts again and the petite moses basket our goal would be $4000 plus the give a little fee of 5% $200 so total goal 4200.
