Gloriavale Leaver Zion Pilgrim's firewood accident set back with his 12 children!

    It's now been three months since the accident. Zion's recovery has been slow and steady with a number of blessings along the way that has made this time easier. His final surgery to remove the screws should be in the next week or two. The support has been about right to cover the extra costs associated with this injury and his lost wages. He got out into the hills, moon boot and all, last week and he says it felt good. He wants to run a half marathon in October and go on a hunting trip with a good friend in June, so looking forward to the upcoming surgery. His wife is due to give birth this Saturday so lots of excitement and things to do.

    Zion's family has moved house. Surgery to repair the damage went well and the hospital staff were very helpful and professional. Zion had his first check-up, had his stitches removed and was given a cast. He has been overwhelmed by the support from so many and would like me to pass on his sincere thanks. He appreciates all your care and encouraging comments
